A
guided tour of eMerge
November 1997 to present
eMerge is a bulk e-mail merge application developed by Galleon
Software. I developed this
section of the eMerge website to step a potential customer
through the basic functions of the program. I designed the
screen snaps to represent a generic windows-based operating
system so that these pages would serve both Macintosh and
Windows users. I also created a series of sample
eMerge campaigns to show off how eMerge might be used.

FirstClass
demo
July 1997
FirstClass is a proprietary messaging system developed by
SoftArc, Inc. (now Centrinity). SoftArc had always enjoyed
great success sending demo versions of their software on diskette
to potential customers, but as the software grew so did the
cost of mailing several diskettes and a bundle of literature.
I managed the project that finally moved most everything to
CD and the relatively new Portable Document Format from Adobe,
and I engineered the new cardboard mailer. The copy was by
SoftArcs marketing department, the graphics were created
by Jan Skorzewski, and piece was laid out by Screen Images
following a design by Roche Macaulay and Partners Advertising
Inc. The resulting package saved the company 43% in production
cost and 35% in postage. And it looked better, too.
